飛ぶ本の発見、あるいは新種の鳥類の発見 - （メディア計画研究室 課題「BOOK」 制作企画書）

風に舞う木の葉や一枚の紙片よりも、鳥たちは空を自由に飛び回る。もしも飛び交う鳥たちの軌跡が消えてしまわずに残り続けるものならば、大地はすべてその痕跡に覆われてしまっているのかも知れない。
鳥たちと並列して考えてみた時、書物は人との関わりや他の書物との関わりを、その息づかいとして我々の前に明らかにするだろう。私は鳥類と書物の関係を端的に、飛ぶ本あるいは新種の鳥類の組写真を制作することで表現しようと思う。
合成処理、ミニチュア撮影などによって完成された飛ぶ本あるいは新種の鳥類のイメージは、空想の産物でありフィクションにすぎないが、あたかも記録写真であるかのように虚実の判別がつかないあやうさを持ったものにしたい。そのとき、複数枚ある写真は、飛ぶ本あるいは新種の鳥類の存在を示す間接証拠としても機能するはずだ。
