講義の感想（2000/6/29） - （講義「作品研究」前期への提出レポート）

じつのところ、私は授業に出席するのが遅れたために、先生の講義が十分に理解できたとは言い難いです。しかし、仕事に対し熱意をもって成し遂げることが大切なのだという気分は伝わってきたように思い、これ自体は凡庸な表現ではあるがやはり言い得ていると感じました。これではまるで私が小学生のような感覚で受講していたように思われてしまうかもしれませんが、実際、久しぶりに子供のころのまっすぐな熱意が蘇ってくるように感じられました。
私は今メディア全体を視野に入れて、表現について考えています。しかし、プロの作家（＝メディアアーティスト？）と同じように作ろうとするのではなく、あくまで学生として、作ることに向き合いたいと思っています。つまり、完成したよい作品を作ることはいうまでもなく重要なことだが、学生である私にとってはむしろそれに至るプロセスをしっかりと把握し広げていく習慣を持つことの方を重視すべきではないかと思っているのです。こう考えたとき、今の私にとって映像表現は本当に難しいもののように思えてなりません。おそらく先生のお話を最初から余すことなく聞いていれば、現在の自分と照らし合わせてプロと学生との違いについて考えることができたのではないかと思うと残念です。
